5th to 7th place (Women’s): 12:30 – INDIA 27 – 51 CHILE
The match ended with a decisive score of India 27 – Chile 51. From the outset, the Chilean team dominated the game, showcasing superior skills and strategic play. India’s defensive toughness led to early setbacks, with a red card in the first 10 minutes and another at the start of the second half, putting them at a significant disadvantage. 3rd and 4th place (Men’s): 16:00 – CZECHIA 29 – 32 FRANCE
France clinched the Bronze in a thrilling match. Czechia started much stronger than France and achieved a 10-5 lead by the 12th minute. France called a timeout, reacted, and closed the gap to 10-9. From then on, the lead alternated frequently, with France edging ahead 20-21 in the 10th minute of the second half. The decisive minutes were marked by spectacular plays, tense moments, and defensive contacts. Notable in these final minutes were the French players Dury and Camille, whose accuracy in front of goal was crucial. A well-deserved Bronze medal was earned in a hard-fought battle against a formidable opponent who fought until the end.
3rd and 4th place (Women’s): 19:00 – POLAND 22 – 18 CZECHIA
A very evenly matched game, with each team dominating one half. In the first half, Czechia led with a 1-5 start and quick transitions, reaching halftime with a 10-13 lead. The second half was more important for Poland, which equalized the score at 14 in the 10th minute of the second half and soon took the lead with a solid defense and the contribution of their goalkeeper Suliga, managing to hold Czechia to 5 goals in the second half. Poland wins the bronze, while Czechia faltered in the decisive minutes for the trophies.
